Re: Bank of Scotland Vantage change

I'm paperless at Tesco but still get a letter for each new DD. Seems there's no way of stopping them!

Is there any limit to the number of Tesco savings accounts you can have? Between me & Mrs P we have 1 each, plus a joint account. Need a 4th to bag the Co-op current account bribe.

Ditto, though most of my spending goes on it. Chip, chip, chip... all these little cuts are costing me £hundreds :(

Re: Regular Savers

Halifax Kids RS pays 4%, though used to be 6%.

Seems to me like we're witnessing the end of interest paying accounts, to all intents and purposes. If S123 cuts its rate as suggested then all the other current accounts will do likewise.

Re: Credit scores

I use Noddle and Clearscore, both are consistent and capture all my accounts. I use the overall scores as a clue as to when to make new CC applications - the time to pull the trigger is when they climb in two consecutive months!

Re: Curve

Seems somewhat similar to the Travelex Supercard which I have and which is useful for overseas spending, although there are bank accounts (Nationwide, N&P) and CCards (Halifax Clarity) that do as good a job. But this seems to go further. I don't get the angle either.

Re: Donor accounts... Where to open them?

I use Tesco. The Post Office Online Saver allows DDs too, but I find PO are a right pain to deal with (both for these accounts and CCs). The Tesco accounts allow multiple DDs per account, PO only one per account.

Former head of FSA on P2P...

I know there are a few P2P fans on here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35537714 "The losses which will emerge from peer-to-peer lending over the next five to 10 years will make the bankers look like lending geniuses" What a pity that he didn't have these powers of foresight while at...

From the first paragraph on the Classic Plus landing page:
