Re: Extra TSB classic accounts
Club LLoyds looks like an interest rate cut but applied to the same max balance, so guess I'll take no action for now.

Re: Extra TSB classic accounts
Just checked when the interest rate & balance changes take effect; appears to be from 4 January, so it's time to withdraw at least £500 from these accounts...

Yes however Tesco Bank is one of the few that haven't made any recent changes, so they may yet decide to reduce the balance/rate for interest payments.
If you haven't already, I think it would be a good idea to ensure that any Tesco Bank accounts you have are linked with a Tesco Clubcard.

I don't think you'll be able to get a bonus this time around but this isn't the first time they offered bonuses to existing customers by e-mail. It could be worthwhile to open a Tesco Bank savings account, so that you become an existing customer on their mailing list.

I didn't actually haggle at all, but it probably helped that they automatically assumed I was hoping for 2 months lost interest compensation, so they presumably considered £50 instead of £75 to be a win for the bank!

Re: Extra TSB classic accounts
Well, I've now increased to 5 x TSB Classic Plus so I'll get some benefit even if just for a period of months. Should last until March at the earliest given the change of T&Cs takes effect in January and they're giving at least 2 months notice after that; also there's always the hope they might ...

Well of course a good thing about Halifax Reward accounts is not having to keep any money in them, other than covering trivial DDs, so they aren't really tying up resources.
