Well, a nice zero percent purchase period never hurts.... Need to plan for needing one in a while but I'm guessing nw won't be on my list.

If that is the 18 month zero percent purchase card, it makes a reasonable slow stoozer... Only 8 months or so left on mine.

The letter I got from nationwide yesterday for closing my credit card account suggested that I wouldn't be eligible for future offers... I assume that this means for 6 months or similar, not forever?

Let me think.... Thanks but no thanks. Only another 4 months to go before I cancel my 123 card but I won't be replacing it with one of those! Innovation and different is good. Massive fees, not so much!
