Re: New CC application, should I lower existing card limit and apply at bank with existing accounts?
Hi, Not sure if lowering limits helps or not (would be interested to know other thoughts on this), banks / credit card companies seem to have a strange way of calculating who to accept and reject. I've had mixed results when applying. My wife was rejected recently by the TSB even though she has a go...

Re: New cards for 2016
I already have a Post Office card (18 months interest free) that is due to end soon so that might be why the AA rejected me as they are both supplied by BOI. I probably should have waited before applying but thought I might aswell do a few at once and see what I get. What do you mean by 'getting ind...

Re: Best current account - leaving Santander
Hi stooznoob, My current account is also S123. I''m staying put despite the monthly increase as my direct debit cashbacks cover the £5 charge and you can still get the 3% interest on balances above £3000. Re: MBNA / Fluid Card Question
Thanks Planteria.
Just waiting for my new card to arrive and then I will ring and hopefully they will do the merge.
Good advice to keep the old account open. I have found MBNA to be the most generous with credit limits.

Re: New cards for 2016
3 applications for me this year (applied at the same time to increase my chances, not sure if that makes a difference). Not had any new cards for a few months due to a couple of rejections and the MSE eligibility checker not giving me much chance of success. MBNA - same card as above Tesco - 21m, no...

MBNA / Fluid Card Question
Hi All, I’m relatively new to stoozing, I used to read the old forum with interest but was never able to register. Luckily I’ve registered here so I would like to join in as there are more experienced stoozers than myself. Hopefully I will be able to offer advice along the way but first of all I hav...
