Re: HSBC credit card £25 cashback

why not just use it for a BT? i've had relatively tight CLs with HSBC and very tight CLs with Nationwide - along with hopeless cs. good idea though: will try to get one or two zero fee BTs on board when i move my MBNA limit over. yes, have a Barclaycard: Amex, Barclaycard and MBNA are my only cards ...

Re: Virgin Money

yes, i was in a B branch earlier this week, and i wondered whether Clydesdale, Yorkshire and B might all be on the way out. Virgin certainly has brand awareness, and yes, incentives are always welcome :)

it's a good deal Sarah. 32m for 1.4% is good, and the cb is a nice sweetener. i have a BT coming up too. only problem is that i tend to find HSBC being tight with CLS: £4/5/10k when i would need £20k.

Re: Barclaycard breaking link with Amex

yes, they're tidying up. i've got an account with a high limit with them that i currently use for spending. i want a repeat deal in August, and will probably take the best they'll offer/negotiate, as i can't apply for a 2nd card with an initial deal on & merge the limit across. fwiw i am slowly ...
