MBNA Minimum Payments

Postby planteria » Mon Feb 08, 2016 12:55 pm

it seems that MBNA take a larger Minimum Payment towards BT balances nowadays..
i moved a balance to a new MBNA card last month, and they are taking 1% by BT. previously it was £25.
is this standard now?

I pay 1% min for all of mine (not got any MBNA though). The only one I've had that was different was Post Office, which was 2.5%

I remember it being flat £25 which for the big balances was a nice win, I don't remember if/when I noticed it changing.

indeed.. that "whichever is the greater" is the key. no real problem, it tends to mean that the debt is being chipped away at quietly and more effectively than the stoozer realises ;)
