did you play it just to bag the £25 rather than actually using a long-term BT deal Sarah?

Yeah, just playing cashbacks for pocket money these days. I don't have any significant debt to transfer and can't be bothered to manufacture some / it doesn't seem worthwhile to go down that route as I don't have a way to make more than a negligible amount of stooze profit.

According to MSE eligibility checks, virgin doesn't like me much (40%). I wonder what I've done to offend them.

There's a message on my latest Virgin Money credit card statement that appears to say they abolished balance transfer fees last month. Not sure if it applies to all their cards, or just the one that I have!

Takeover by Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank Group (CYBG) agreed a couple of days ago. They appear to be keeping the Virgin Money brand and ditching their own:

 I've got my fingers crossed here hoping for the announcement of a new Virgin branded, Yorkshire/Clydesdale 2014/15 style, £150 a pop, multiple new account opening incentive. :D

yes, i was in a B branch earlier this week, and i wondered whether Clydesdale, Yorkshire and B might all be on the way out. Virgin certainly has brand awareness, and yes, incentives are always welcome :)
