which isn't great joker.. i'm sticking with trying to cover all 5% or more options available in the market.
FD don't make me welcome unfortunately, but 6% from HSBC and M&S isn't bad. if the former is still available in a months time i will have another slice.. my 5th, i think

I'd planned to open a Santander regular saver, but the branch or phone opening restriction was getting in the way; unsure whether or not I'll still bother now. Maybe I'll take a punt on re/opening M&S accounts instead; looks like it'll need 2 active DDs to get started this time.

i did that as standard anyway.. that way an account is already ready to be transferred elsewhere for rates/rewards/incentives.

You can add 300/m via FD.

It pays 5% but only available to holders of a first direct 1st Account.

indeed, and having had an account with FD way back, i have found them resisting me since. £500/m with the HSBC stable is good enough for me.

just looking to renew with M&S so still managing 5% on £1k/m.. elsewhere it was being predicted that these rates would be gone by now.

Lloyds Monthly Saver has actually increased its interest rate to 2.5% (previously 2.0%) since 01/12/17. This can be opened in addition to Club Lloyds Monthly Saver (which currently pays 3.0%) by customers holding an appropriate current account.

Halifax also offer an account with the same interest rate and monthly deposit limit.
