indeed.. that "whichever is the greater" is the key. no real problem, it tends to mean that the debt is being chipped away at quietly and more effectively than the stoozer realises

that's fine. that doesn't disprove my point.. we are just in the process of understanding how compound interest rates work.

my Barclaycard Freedom Rewards account was charging more, and as i say, MBNA was previously less.

i have had several i was able to use already in place, from previous moves..
but i opened a Lloyds account which i wanted, along with 3 others last year.. and moved the 3 to YB
i also opened a 2nd Santander account to move to YB too, and then moved my original too

MBNA Minimum Payments
it seems that MBNA take a larger Minimum Payment towards BT balances nowadays..
i moved a balance to a new MBNA card last month, and they are taking 1% by BT. previously it was £25.
is this standard now?

if you have £2k or more the interest rate is still compounded

agreed. only an issue if & when you want to go again.. i have 2 DDs on my current accounts anyway.. poised for the next move.

agreed. the 5% is correct.. but by paying monthly it compounds to 5%.
