Re: UK base interest rate cut to 0.25%
Pretty much all easy access accounts with bonus rates (and more, including Nationwide Loyalty Saver 15-Year tier) have now announced cuts to below 1%. That leaves basically nothing worthwhile; if you don't have a decent fixed rate, regular saver or current account to use, it seems to be game over fo...

Re: Limited Company accounts
I've no idea, but perhaps it would be liable for tax as a 'benefit in kind' unless you pay a market rate to borrow it? Just guessing...

Re: How did you start Stoozing? And how has it evolved?
I started like most of the stalwarts here in the days when pretty much every bank had a 6 month 0% balance transfer card with no fees. They were ubiquitous, you could very simply switch from one to another (or multiples) as regular as clockwork; debt was also easy to create using credit card cheques...

Re: Former head of FSA on P2P...
Zopa now has a scheme called Safeguard applied to some of their products which they variously describe as being a "10% buffer" or having "1.2x" coverage, although it's not entirely clear what this means. https://www.zopa.com/lending/risk-data Their stats (which might be carefully...

Re: Stoozer personality profile
are STJ and NTJs introvert or extrovert? and how do you simply know which you are? Have to do the tests planteria, but you'd be unlikely to find them published on the interwebs as the copyright owner is very protective of their assets. Nevertheless wikipedia has this chart, which might help you to ...

Re: Regular Savers
I'd planned to open a Santander regular saver, but the branch or phone opening restriction was getting in the way; unsure whether or not I'll still bother now. Maybe I'll take a punt on re/opening M&S accounts instead; looks like it'll need 2 active DDs to get started this time.

Re: Regular Savers
I think cashed out meaning matured at 5% but not renewed 2%. I'm in the same position, currently; haven't yet decided whether or not to go for a second year at 2%. Looking at the full interest rate history for this account, it's actually been up or down several times, so maybe 5% (or at least 3%) co...
