Re: Regular Savers

I've just made an appointment with Virgin Money so that I can open the newest iteration (Issue 12) of their Regular Savings account. This latest offering pays 3% which is an improvement over preceding issues, but what a blooming faff having to actually turn up in branch in person to open it. Yeah 3...

Not quite yet; still two months to go before the drop to £2 takes effect.

Re: Barclays "Double Cash Rewards" Switch

It might be as simple as rewards being paid 1 to 1.5 months in arrears, in which case the first £7 might still be credited soon; or maybe not...! Yep, this seems to be the answer. The first £7 reward has now been credited; hopefully the second (i.e. the "double" part) £7 reward will follo...

Re: Barclays "Double Cash Rewards" Switch

Barclays online customer service has been hopeless so far; received two response messages both of them useless copy + paste of the terms without any attention to the specific points raised or recognition that my second enquiry was a complaint. If they think customers will be satisfied waiting 24 hou...

Re: Barclays "Double Cash Rewards" Switch

Well, this didn't work.

They've refunded my £3 fee for July instead of paying the £14 reward. No idea why.

This is Barclays, so I should've set my expectations really low...

Re: Raisin £50 incentive

I saw this mentioned in the MSE e-mail too. Think the messing about sending a bank transfer to Meteor Investment Management & claiming the bonus by e-mail (together with it being a new organisation having no customer feedback) are what put me off. How's it going for you so far? The launch bonus ...

Re: Halifax Monthly £6.25 ers

Halifax are cutting the rewards again from £3 to £2 on 1 October 2018.

I don't have a similar letter from BoS yet but presume they'll be doing the same.

Re: Santander Select Account

I already have the Santander Select service, it's been available as a (free) added benefit for many years by meeting the same criteria. I probably will change a 123 account over before too long if they'll otherwise take Santander Select away in November although it does say "new customers"...
