Yes, experience. I applied for a 7th classic and received a letter explaining that I couldn't have it as I already had multiple accounts.

what date do the 'early' TSB accounts stop paying the 5% cashback? is it end of January 2017?

If memory serves me correctly its Decembers payment made in January

so it's game over at this point.. no point bringing the TSB Debit Card out of the box any more

i Think it ends today, so there's no point me carrying my TSB card again tomorrow.. but TSB are very unsure. all they can do is ask me whether i originally had the Plus account, or had a Classic and upgraded it later.. ie. push my query back to me.

seems like keeping £1.5k at 3% with TSB and £5k at 2% with Lloyds is the only benefit from these two now. nothing appealing with regular savers or spending.

I'll be testing the waters with the 5% cashbsck in Jan and beyond, just in case it still works

Offer ends 31 December 2016 for existing customers, or 30 September 2017 for accounts opened after 1 June 2016.

I opened another classic a few days ago with the intention of upgrading it on the 4th. Will be interesting to see if the cashback is applied or not.

Just checked when the interest rate & balance changes take effect; appears to be from 4 January, so it's time to withdraw at least £500 from these accounts...

Club LLoyds looks like an interest rate cut but applied to the same max balance, so guess I'll take no action for now.
