my guess is that they won't be "statemented as February" Sarah, and that January will be a qualifying month for you.
do we need to deposit £500+ each month?

Yep!

What will stop me earning cashback?

You will be eligible for the Quidco cashback if you open a new TSB Spend & Save current account, you don’t have any other existing TSB current accounts and:- 1. Within the first 90 days of your account being open you register for Internet Banking, paperless statements and paperless correspondence; 2. Keep your account open for at least 120 days; 3. In three out of the first four calendar months after you’ve opened your account:- (a) Pay in at least £500 each month; and (b) Make at least two debit payments out of your account each month.

oh right so i've done that already with an initial transfer and some cash today,
but "you don’t have any other existing TSB current accounts" excludes us both doesn't it?
:? i find TSB awful service-wise, including in-branch today, but their lack of clue what they're doing can be exploited

Just to give an update, I didn't cram in 20 transactions in January, and just went with the £1 a day, Feb onward.

I have received my first cashback a couple days ago, £5 + £5 double up.

I was wondering @sarah did you get cashback in Feb, for the 20 transactions you quickly put through?

No, they weren't statemented (dated) until the start of Feb. I didn't receive any reward in Feb and only received a single (not double) £5 this month. So it looks like I'm not qualifying for the switch incentives on this latest account, although I also didn't have any DDs take payments until this month, so there's still a chance that might change.

I just realised I didn't get my GF to sign in to the mobile app.
However we both received double cashback, so I think we are safe.

I also forgot to get her to login to the Natwest app, and she still got that incentive.

I wonder if just logging into the online banking is enough, and the app part isn't strict

I always only used the website until recently. Installed the app in January. I hadn't noticed a requirement to use it before opening this very latest account.
