Just noticed HSBC also have a Rewards Credit Card that I haven't seen before. Includes a 2500 points welcome bonus (worth £25):
https://www.hsbc.co.uk/content/hsbc/gb/ ... s/rewards/

To collect reward points, simply shop as usual with your card. Get up to 10 points for every £1 you spend at selected retailers, and 1 point for every £5 you spend elsewhere. 100 points is worth £1.

I think that's 0.2% for most spending then, isn't it? Not good but better than nothing.

Use your reward points against everyday purchases, wherever Mastercard is accepted using the Pay with Rewards app or website.

Yeah, sure, don't make it easy by crediting cashback to the account, when you can inconvenience customers instead!

Just taken the more straightforward option and applied for their Purchase Plus Credit Card via the MSE link here. Hopefully it was at least 12 months since I closed my previous HSBC card, to satisfy eligibility for the £25. It says to check online banking messages for an update within 2 working days.

Like planteria, I haven't heard anything (yet) from HSBC regarding my application.

I never received any response regarding that application... simply seemed to vanish.

They have another £25 offer on again now. Apply by 13/02/2022. Spend £100 within 60 days to qualify for the cashback.
